Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Russell Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Rumlow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Russell Bell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Rumlow! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bell throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Brock Rumlow has been cut. A combination from Rumlow does no damage. Rumlow throws a jab when Bell was well out of range. Bell swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Rumlow bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Rumlow misses with a looping left. Bell plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Rumlow ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bell moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rumlow uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bell.
Bell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rumlow was well out of range. Poor timing from Bell. Bell on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rumlow connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Bell bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Jab, jab by Bell - just one landing. Rumlow throws a nice outside leg kick. Bell fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rumlow. Bell showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rumlow.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rumlow tries to clinch but Bell moves out of range. Rumlow just misses with a punch to the body.

A looping hook to the body misses from Rumlow. Bell does a little dance to reset his feet. It looked like Bell was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Bell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rumlow manages to avoid it. Rumlow throws a counter combo. Rumlow throws a front kick that sends Bell stumbling back into the cage. Bell throws a series of punches but Rumlow avoids them all with ease. Rumlow looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rumlow pivots, looking for a leg kick but Bell is out of range and Rumlow settles back down. Bell misses with a left hand and Rumlow cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rumlow lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Nice body punch from Rumlow. Rumlow moves away from the strike by Bell. Rumlow connects with a solid leg kick. Bell takes one to the chin there. Rumlow swings away with a body shot that misses
and Bell counters with a straight right hand. Bell ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A counter left hand to the body from Bell misses its target. Rumlow fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bell manages to avoid it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rumlow goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Bell on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rumlow. Rumlow obviously looking to wear him down.
Rumlow throws a sloppy head kick and Bell counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A looping hook to the body misses from Rumlow. Bell does a little dance to reset his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bell lands a left and a right that sends Rumlow crashing to the canvas! Bell dives into mount looking to finish!
That has opened up Brock Rumlow's cut even more. Bell controlling from the full mount. Rumlow manages to regain half guard. Good work. Bell controlling the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Russell Bell will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Brock Rumlow's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bell takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Rumlow rushes Bell and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Bell looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Rumlow tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Rumlow swings wildly with an uppercut but Bell uses good head movement to avoid it. Bell lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bell misses with a punch to the body.
Bell pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rumlow wants to slow Bell down by chopping away at his legs.

Rumlow now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Rumlow on the wrong end of a nice hook. Rumlow throws a nice inside leg kick. A low kick from Bell misses and Rumlow counters with a body kick. Russell Bell is winning the standup battle so far. Bell misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's two minutes gone in the round. That kick from Rumlow tenderised Bell's leg. Bell is trying to keep his angry face on. Rumlow connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rumlow lands a body shot.
Rumlow scores with a nice strike. Rumlow tries to work over Bell's front leg with a kick but Bell checks it. Some bone on bone action there as Bell checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Rumlow buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Bell appears to be looking for a big counter. Rumlow sizes up Bell with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Rumlow chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Brock Rumlow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Brock Rumlow's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Rumlow. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Rumlow misses with a jab to the body

As Rumlow looks to move away, Bell throws a big counter combo but Rumlow just gets out of the way. Bell is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Bell takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

and Bell counters with a nice body shot. Rumlow takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rumlow throws a push kick but Bell slaps the foot to one side. Bell takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Rumlow misses with a low kick as Bell jumps back. Rumlow avoids the head kick by Bell.
Rumlow wants to counter with a clinch but Bell pushes him away. Bell fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rumlow wants to clinch up but Bell keeps it at a distance. Nice uppercut lands for Rumlow. That snapped Bell's head back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Good standup being displayed there by Bell as he connects with a hook. Bell throws a nice head kick!

and Rumlow counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rumlow tries to clinch but Bell moves away and Bell counters with a nice uppercut. Rumlow throws a big shot that misses. Bell throws a nice outside leg kick. Rumlow's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Rumlow duly obliges.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bell misses with a leg kick and Rumlow counters with a nice leg kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bell with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Bell ducks under a wild hook from Rumlow. Rumlow will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Russell Bell. I think Bell has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
