Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luke Rockstar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raoul De Muerta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Muerta has chosen The Crystal Method as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Rockstar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Raoul De Muerta! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Muerta ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Rockstar throws the kick towards the body but De Muerta avoids it. Rockstar misses with a right hand and De Muerta counters with a left and a right that stings Rockstar. Rockstar shoots in for a takedown but De Muerta shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. It seemed like De Muerta was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. De Muerta stuffs the takedown attempt from Rockstar. Rockstar gets slowly back to his feet. Rockstar connects with an inside leg kick. Rockstar looks to land a right hand but De Muerta moved out of range. Luke Rockstar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. De Muerta throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. De Muerta lands a jab to the nose. Rockstar tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. And an attempted straight right on the counter from De Muerta! But no joy. Rockstar misses with a kick to the body and De Muerta counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Luke Rockstar has been cut. De Muerta's coach down at The Fallen Warriors Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on De Muerta's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. A low kick from Rockstar is predictable there enabling De Muerta to counter with a crisp jab. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A telegraphed right hand from De Muerta misses the target. Rockstar rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but De Muerta moves out of range and avoids them all easily. De Muerta let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. De Muerta tries a head kick but it misses.

We've been hearing reports that Rockstar has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Rockstar throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Rockstar misses with a low kick.

Rockstar tries to land a front kick but De Muerta steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Rockstar gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and De Muerta counters with a nice uppercut. Raoul De Muerta is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. De Muerta throws a sloppy head kick and Rockstar moves out of range easily. Rockstar throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Rockstar throws a leg kick but De Muerta sees it coming and checks it nicely. Rockstar looks to throw a body kick and De Muerta decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rockstar's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! De Muerta trying to control the position from guard on top but Rockstar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. De Muerta wants to pass the guard but Rockstar is keeping the position. De Muerta is still trying to improve position. De Muerta throws a big elbow that misses. De Muerta lands a couple of elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rockstar tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rockstar keeping moving, preventing De Muerta from controlling successfully. De Muerta is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rockstar utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Rockstar looking to hit a scissor sweep but De Muerta is one step ahead there. De Muerta not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Rockstar throws a low kick but it's checked well by De Muerta. De Muerta ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rockstar moves away. De Muerta turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Rockstar throws a body punch but De Muerta moves out of range. Rockstar thuds a left hand into De Muerta's body. Rockstar throws a body punch but De Muerta moves out of range. De Muerta loads up on a big right hand but Rockstar slips the punch. Rockstar throws a big counter combination but De Muerta scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. This has been an exciting period of action! Decent striking displayed by De Muerta there. Rockstar misses with a wild body shot. Rockstar goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Rockstar bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps De Muerta's head backwards. Rockstar keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from De Muerta. De Muerta swings for the body but Rockstar moves out of range.
Rockstar connects with the punch. De Muerta throws a low kick but Rockstar avoids it. Rockstar takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raoul De Muerta dominated that round. The cut man is working on Luke Rockstar's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Rockstar does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. De Muerta swings away with a leg kick that misses. Rockstar looks for the body kick but De Muerta saw that one coming. Rockstar stuns De Muerta with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. De Muerta throws a hook but Rockstar avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. De Muerta cracks Rockstar with a right hand to the side of the head. Good work by De Muerta as he checks the leg kick. De Muerta lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rockstar passes De Muerta's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Rockstar is thwarting De Muerta's attempts to control the position. Rockstar is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and De Muerta defends it well. Raoul De Muerta is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Rockstar missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rockstar attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. De Muerta looks to score with a jab to the body but Rockstar is just out of range. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Raoul De Muerta. Well De Muerta has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
