Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Victor Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Andrey Lobtov!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel throws a looping overhand right but Lobtov ducks down to avoid it.
Lobtov drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Steel defends it well.
Steel slips a jab from Lobtov.
Steel swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Lobtov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Steel but Steel pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A little feinted left hand from Steel on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A big right from Lobtov misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steel uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lobtov.
Steel feinted with a counter takedown.
No luck for Lobtov with that takedown attempt.
Steel throwing a counter right hand but Lobtov manages to avoid it.

Steel connects with a single shot there.
We've been told by Steel's head coaches at Woodhouse's that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Lobtov gets a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Steel regains full guard. Nicely done.
Lobtov looking to sit in guard and control but Steel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Steel trying to control but Lobtov is working from the bottom.

Lobtov looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Steel wants to pass the guard but Lobtov is keeping the position.
Lobtov wants to sweep here but Steel controlling him for the moment.
Steel content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Lobtov has locked up a guillotine! Lobtov's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Steel is holding on here and Lobtov must be using up a lot of energy. Steel has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Lobtov gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
