The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzales fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Cabral wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

and Gonzales takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Andrei Gonzales has been cut.

Gonzales scores with a hook to the body. Cabral takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Gonzales fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gonzales's jab looks to have found its range, popping Cabral under the eye.

As Gonzales tries to get set, Cabral tries to push him back and clinch up but Gonzales manages to avoid the attempt.
Andrei Gonzales seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Cabral counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cabral.

Gonzales is working for takedown but Cabral is calmly controlling the position for now.
Cabral drops Gonzales onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Gonzales is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Gonzales is rocked!
Cabral creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Gonzales's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Gonzales drops to his knees and Cabral pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Afonso Cabral!
Afonso Cabral very nearly forgot to thank Sully's Bar & Grill amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
