Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alonzo Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Piana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alonzo Harris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rich Piana! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris throws a shot to the body.
Harris lands the left hand. Harris tries for a takedown but Piana sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Harris looks to land a combination. Piana sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Piana misses with an uppercut. Piana misses with a lunging right hand
and Harris counters with a lovely shot to the body. Piana punishes Harris's body with a nice straight punch. Harris misses with an uppercut
and Piana counters with a nice uppercut. Piana moves away from the strike by Harris. Piana takes a swing at Harris's ribcage but misses. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Harris looks to throw the jab but Piana is out of range. Harris scores with a nice strike. Harris bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Piana's head. Harris takes a swing at Piana's ribcage but misses. Harris misses with a lunging right hand
and Piana counters with a lovely straight right hand! Harris misses with a looping right. Piana looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piana scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Harris throws a combination that misses and Piana counters with a lovely straight right hand! Piana defending well as Harris loads up on a big left hand. Piana is looking for the big counter here. Harris connects with a body shot. Piana's coach down at Rabid Dog was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Piana's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Harris avoids the body shot from Piana.
Harris tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Piana was well out of range. Poor timing from Harris. Piana slips a jab from Harris. Harris moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Piana avoids the body shot from Harris.
Piana avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Harris jabbing away but nothing is landing. Piana throws out a counter right but Harris avoids it with no problem. Piana leaves Harris with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Piana uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Harris.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Harris misses the target. Piana fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Alonzo Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Piana walks into a stiff left hand from Harris. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Piana is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Harris. Nice jab there from Harris. Piana misses with a body shot.
Piana on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Piana throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Harris keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Piana. An attempted straight right counter from Harris misses the target. Piana throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Piana throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Harris sees it coming and avoids it easily. Harris ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Harris seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Harris throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Harris falls off balance throwing a combination
and Piana counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Piana swings widly with a right hand
and Harris counters with a straight right hand. A clash of legs there as Piana blocks the low kick. Piana's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Harris connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Piana scrambles back to his feet. Harris lands a lovely overhand right. Piana moves into range and connects with a jab. Harris misses with a straight left. Piana throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Piana throws an overhand right that lands on Harris's shoulder, as Harris tries to avoid the shot. Nice defenses there by Harris. Piana lands a left and a right that send Harris crashing to the mat, dazed. Piana thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Alonzo Harris has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. BOOM! Piana lands a beautiful left hook that drops Harris. Harris tries to recover but Piana is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Harris lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
