The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yaj bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Yaj throws a hook but McGuiness blocks it.

McGuiness works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Yaj shoots for a double leg takedown but McGuiness sprawls well. He's pushed Yaj's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Yaj is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Yaj on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

McGuiness changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
McGuiness throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McGuiness throws a series of strikes that have Yaj backpedaling.
Yaj lands a straight punch to the body, keeping McGuiness at a distance.
McGuiness throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Yaj stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A nice leg kick lands there from McGuiness.
McGuiness tries to close the distance and clinch but Yaj swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Yaj throws an ugly left hook that misses
and McGuiness counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
McGuiness lands with a right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Yaj takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Yaj throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
McGuiness lands with a shot to the body.
McGuiness throws a looping overhand right but Yaj ducks down to avoid it.
Yaj attempts a counter takedown but McGuiness avoids it well and moves away.
McGuiness looks to land a left hand but Yaj moved out of range nicely.
Yaj misses with a left hand
and Yaj takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
McGuiness throws a monster overhand right that drops Yaj! McGuiness follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Liam McGuiness!
Liam McGuiness tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
