Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Erick Clap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andr De Fran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clap comes into the arena with Burn it to the ground blaring out of the sound system. De Fran has chosen No Worries as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clap misses with a leg kick.
We've been hearing reports that Clap has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
A thudding body kick lands there by De Fran!

This has been an exciting period of action!
De Fran is pressed up against the cage. Clap has hold of a leg and is looking to drag De Fran down to the mat. De Fran avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Erick Clap will probably get the nod.
That's time! Clap's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


De Fran tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Clap was well out of range. Poor timing from De Fran.

De Fran throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Clap stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Clap fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches De Fran on the side of the head.

and Clap cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

De Fran takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
De Fran does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
De Fran dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Clap. That did some damage!

De Fran gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Clap to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Clap drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Clap jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

It seemed like De Fran was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Clap closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming De Fran to the mat! De Fran manages to get full guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

De Fran gets caught napping as Clap dives in and scores a takedown. De Fran manages to retain guard.
De Fran wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Clap manages to pass to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
