Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Strong!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strong misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dykstra thinks about countering with a head kick.
Dykstra checks a leg kick nicely.
Strong ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dykstra moves away.
Dykstra lands a slapping body shot.
Dykstra throws a head kick that misses

and Strong moves into the clinch.
Strong tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dykstra's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Strong throws a head kick that misses.
Dykstra quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

Strong throws a head kick but Dykstra moves out of range.
Dykstra throws a counter high kick but Strong was just alert enough to avoid it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dykstra walks into a jab.
Nice body punch from Dykstra.
Strong steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dykstra.
Strong attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Dykstra delivers a nice body kick.
Dykstra throws a head kick that misses.

Dykstra scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Strong misses with a looping right.

Dykstra lands a big head kick that sends Strong tumbling to the mat! Dykstra takes a step backwards and waves Strong back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Joe Strong has been cut.
Strong walks straight into a right hand from Dykstra - that's dropped him! Dykstra jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Strong from any more punishment! Strong complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Doc Dykstra!
Doc Dykstra seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
