Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Chabala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz has chosen Boombastic (Mr Lover Lover) by Shaggy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Matt Chabala is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Chabala is trying to defend but Diaz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Diaz in particular looking to stall.
Diaz is trying to control. Chabala wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Diaz has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Chabala has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Diaz controlling the position well here. Chabala rolled but Diaz kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Diaz is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Chabala is in a bad position with Diaz working for a choke. Chabala manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

Diaz ducks under a wild hook from Chabala.
Diaz tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Diaz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Diaz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Chabala pinned against the cage. Chabala gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Chabala was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Matt Chabala seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chabala lands with a nice body punch.
Diaz takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and Chabala counters with a nice leg kick.
Chabala misses the shot to the body.
And Diaz tries to counter it with a takedown but Chabala pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Chabala lands a nice looking body shot.
Diaz takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

That kick from Chabala tenderised Diaz's leg. Diaz is trying to keep his angry face on.
Chabala throws a leg kick which misses Diaz's front leg but catches the back leg as Diaz tries to avoid it.
Matt Chabala is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Chabala throws a head kick that misses.
Diaz steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Chabala. That one must have hurt.
Diaz misses with a wild body shot.
Diaz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Chabala cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Matt Chabala has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fernando Diaz.
Diaz doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Chabala throws a body punch but Diaz moves out of range.
Chabala tries a head kick but it misses.
Diaz throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Chabala scores with a kick to the body.

Chabala feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Diaz's calf.
Chabala lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Diaz misses with a takedown
and Chabala counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Diaz takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Diaz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chabala tries to avoid it but Diaz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chabala to the ground. Chabala escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Diaz is breathing heavily.
Diaz shoots in for a double leg but Chabala sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Chabala. Diaz shrugs it off though.
Chabala cracks Diaz with a good jab.
Chabala lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Diaz is rocked!
Chabala lands a brutal uppercut that launches Diaz off his feet! Diaz tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
