4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Travis McElroy! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McElroy shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McElroy showed some decent athleticism there. McElroy thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ashton keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Ashton is pressing down on McElroy's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Ashton is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. McElroy wants to get back to full guard. Ashton controlling his opponent. We've been hearing that Ashton has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Ashton is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, McElroy has managed to escape the submission attempt.
McElroy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ashton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
