Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eric Ashton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Walcott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ashton comes to the cage accompanied by Zombie Nation. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Eric Ashton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Walcott!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Atkins and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walcott lands with a nice body punch.
Ashton lands a lovely overhand right.
Walcott misses with a head kick.
Ashton is looking to counter punch.
Ashton jabs Walcott to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Walcott swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Walcott displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ashton throws out the jab.
Walcott throws out a counter right but Ashton avoids it with no problem.
Walcott fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Ashton is looking to take a break and control but Walcott is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ashton wants to pass the guard but Walcott is defending well.
Walcott is controlling Ashton's position as best he can from this difficult position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Walcott bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Eric Ashton will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Walcott takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Walcott has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Joe Walcott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
