Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Daniel Judah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Temujin Lee!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lee throws out a counter right but Judah avoids it with no problem.
Lee lands a jab to the head.
Lee closes the distance and clinches.
Lee blocks the elbow strike.
Judah tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lee has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Judah lands a right hand.

Temujin Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Judah lands with a short shot to the head.
Lee has Judah pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Lee pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Judah tumbling to the mat - Lee dives into Judah's guard.
Lee postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Judah is on top in guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Daniel Judah will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Lee lands with a hook. Judah tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Judah went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
We've been told by Judah's head coaches at Montreal Elite Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lee.
Judah goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Lee follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Lee takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daniel Judah.
I think Judah has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
