And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
La De Hoya throws an overhand right that lands on Shadow's shoulder, as Shadow tries to avoid the shot.
Shadow tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and La De Hoya connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Silent Shadow has been cut.
Shadow closes the distance looking to clinch
and La De Hoya counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Shadow is rocked!
Shadow is looking to clinch but La De Hoya is avoiding it.
Oh Shadow is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
La De Hoya walks into a left hand.
La De Hoya staying out of range there.
Shadow seems to have got his legs back now.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Shadow wants to break free but La De Hoya has control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

La De Hoya just leaning against Shadow, taking a breather.
La De Hoya dips a shoulder and cracks Shadow with a mighty uppercut! Shadow falls back against the cage and La De Hoya unloads with a barrage of strikes! Shadow is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - La De Hoya screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
