Blaylock comes to the cage accompanied by Alive. Samson Goldstein has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mookie Blaylock's chin.

19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Samson Goldstein! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goldstein ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Goldstein ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Goldstein has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Blaylock is landing a low percentage of strikes. Blaylock ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Blaylock throws an overhand right that lands on Goldstein's shoulder, as Goldstein tries to avoid the shot. Blaylock walks forward, straight into a front kick from Goldstein. Nice takedown defense from Blaylock. No joy for Goldstein on that attempt. Goldstein ducks under a wild hook from Blaylock. Blaylock cracks Goldstein with a right hand to the side of the head.

Blaylock takes a step back to recover. Goldstein throws a body shot but no joy. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Blaylock connects with a crisp jab. Goldstein drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blaylock keeps Goldstein under control for a moment. Goldstein wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blaylock keeps working. Goldstein working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goldstein working away. Goldstein throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Goldstein landing strikes. Goldstein landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Blaylock takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Goldstein lands a nice forearm strike. Goldstein looking to control but instead Blaylock has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Goldstein misses with a head shot. Blaylock uses the momentum to regain guard. Blaylock utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Goldstein working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Blaylock's head. Goldstein has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goldstein stopping the sweep attempt from Blaylock. Goldstein throws a big elbow that misses. Goldstein trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Blaylock is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Goldstein preventing the sweep. Goldstein postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Blaylock looking to hit a scissor sweep but Goldstein is one step ahead there.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Blaylock stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Blaylock wants it to stay on the feet. Goldstein avoids the head kick by Blaylock.
Goldstein fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Blaylock has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Blaylock throws a body punch but Goldstein moves out of range. A decent looking body kick lands there for Goldstein. Blaylock jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A slow jab from Blaylock misses its intended target. Goldstein scores with a leg kick.

Blaylock throws a shot from downtown. Goldstein moves away and avoids it. Goldstein is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Blaylock with a body shot. Blaylock thuds a left hand into Goldstein's body. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Goldstein.
Goldstein slips a jab and a cross from Blaylock.
Blaylock takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Goldstein looks for the body kick but Blaylock saw that one coming. Blaylock throws a quick counter kick to the body but Goldstein avoids it. Jab from Blaylock. Blaylock on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Goldstein throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Blaylock on the side of the head. Blaylock misses with a straight right. Blaylock throws a hook to the side of Goldstein's head but Goldstein sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Blaylock misses with an uppercut. Goldstein saw that one coming. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Samson Goldstein dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Blaylock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Blaylock throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Goldstein bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Blaylock's head. Goldstein lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. A bone on bone clash there as Goldstein blocks the leg kick.
And Goldstein tries to counter it with a takedown but Blaylock pushes his down on his head and steps out. Goldstein throws a body kick that misses and Blaylock counters with a lovely shot to the body. Goldstein moves into range and connects with a jab. Goldstein misses with a takedown and Blaylock counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Blaylock misses with a lunging right hand
and Goldstein counters with a stiff right hand. Blaylock throws a wild combination but nothing lands. The fighters circling - Blaylock throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A telegraphed right hand from Blaylock misses the target. Goldstein misses with a wild body shot. Blaylock lands with a good body shot. Goldstein is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Blaylock loads up on a big right hand but Goldstein slips the punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goldstein uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Blaylock. Goldstein will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Blaylock walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Goldstein checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Mookie Blaylock is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Blaylock misses with a wild body shot. Goldstein will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Goldstein thuds his shin into the meat of Blaylock's side. Goldstein throws a shot to the body.
Blaylock throws a low kick but Goldstein moves out of range easily. Blaylock misses with a wild body shot. Goldstein takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Blaylock moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Goldstein punishes Blaylock's body with a nice straight punch. Goldstein cracks Blaylock with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Goldstein misses the shot to the body. Goldstein fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Blaylock manages to avoid it. Blaylock throws a lazy head kick and Goldstein counters with a single leg into guard. Blaylock didn't expect that. Blaylock working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Goldstein. Goldstein in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Blaylock is trying to hold Goldstein in close to prevent damage but Goldstein has managed to pass into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Goldstein seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Blaylock does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goldstein missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Goldstein is looking to take a break and control but Blaylock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Blaylock blocking the ground and pound attempt from Goldstein. Goldstein seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Blaylock wants to control but Goldstein is keeping busy.
Goldstein throwing shots but Blaylock is blocking nicely. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Goldstein thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Blaylock's head.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Goldstein keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Blaylock. A shot to the body from Blaylock misses and Goldstein counters with a stiff right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blaylock throws a hook but Goldstein avoids it easily. Goldstein misses the shot to the body. Blaylock appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Goldstein avoids a punch combination nicely.
Goldstein lands a jab to Blaylock's midsection. Goldstein throws a leg kick that misses. Blaylock throws a wild body kick that Goldstein sees coming a mile off. Goldstein lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Goldstein has managed to clinch.
Blaylock working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Blaylock takes an elbow to the forehead. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Goldstein drops Blaylock with a big right hand! Goldstein charges in looking to finish - Blaylock manages to keep Goldstein in his guard and seems to have recovered somewhat.
Blaylock is rocked! Goldstein won't allow Blaylock to sweep him here. Oh Blaylock is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Blaylock working a defensive guard here.

Samson Goldstein showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Blaylock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Blaylock gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Goldstein points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Blaylock wakes up just in time to hear Goldstein thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
