Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carter Martin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Kabal Labak! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Labak tries to land a leg kick but Martin saw it coming and moves away.
Labak moves forwards but Martin connects with a nice, crisp jab. Martin throws a low kick but it's checked well by Labak. Labak fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Martin checks it well. Labak throws a body punch but Martin moves out of range. Martin throwing a counter right hand but Labak manages to avoid it. Labak misses with a straight left. Martin is looking for a counter combo. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Martin misses with an uppercut
and Labak counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Martin thinking. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Nice cross by Martin.
It looks like Kabal Labak has been cut. Labak fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Martin is out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Labak lands with a good body shot. Labak lands a slapping body shot.
A solid leg kick lands there for Labak.
Martin lands a nice shot that snaps Labak's head back.
Labak loads up on a big right hand but Martin slips the punch. Martin throws a big counter combination but Labak scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Labak with a hook. Labak moves into the clinch successfully.
Martin tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Labak scores with a nice hook to the head. A head punch blocked on the inside by Martin.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Labak tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Labak lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Labak lands with a left to the head. Labak misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Labak misses with a punch on the inside.
Labak pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Martin checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Martin throws a counter high kick but Labak was just alert enough to avoid it. Martin misses with a series of wild punches.
Labak lands with an uppercut that bounces Martin off the cage and back into range. Labak sends Martin crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Labak is motioning to the referee to let Martin up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Martin is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martin misses with an uppercut
and Labak counters by gaining double undehooks. He picks up Martin and carries him across to his own corner. OH, that's a monster slam and Martin is out cold! A brutal end to the fight and credit to Labak for not following up with any more shots. He recognised that Martin was out. Good sportsmanship.
