Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cody Chalke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien OQuinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). OQuinn has chosen I'm A Dog I'm Sorry- Big Tymers as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Cody Chalke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Damien OQuinn! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chalke shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and OQuinn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. OQuinn throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Damien OQuinn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A left lands for OQuinn. Chalke swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. OQuinn tries to clinch but Chalke is having none of it. Chalke feinted with a counter takedown. OQuinn slips under a jab. OQuinn lands a nice looking body shot.
Chalke swats away the attempt to clinch by OQuinn. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. OQuinn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chalke manages to avoid it. OQuinn missing with a left hand there. Chalke was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Chalke changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Chalke uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from OQuinn.
That's one minute gone in the round. OQuinn pushes Chalke up against the cage in a clinch. Chalke drops to a knee looking for a takedown but OQuinn gets the underhooks and prevents it.
OQuinn misses with a hook from the clinch. OQuinn has Chalke pushed against the cage. Chalke blocks the elbow strike.
Chalke is trying to drag OQuinn to the mat but OQuinn just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cody Chalke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from OQuinn. Chalke can't get the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chalke has clasped his hands together around OQuinn's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. OQuinn struggling a bit here. OQuinn tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chalke wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. You can see the frustration on OQuinn's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. OQuinn parries the strikes from Chalke easily there. Chalke is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable OQuinn to escape.
Chalke taking a breather here. OQuinn taking a bit of punishment here - Chalke scoring with strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. OQuinn tries to bench press Chalke off him but Chalke keeps the position. Chalke cracks OQuinn with an elbow. That is naaassty. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! OQuinn gets back to half guard. Chalke throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chalke is thwarting OQuinn's attempts to control the position. OQuinn wants to get back to his feet.
Chalke with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. OQuinn is trying to maintain the position but Chalke is very close to passing his half guard. Chalke is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. OQuinn is looking to improve his position.
Chalke scores with a couple of good hammerfists. OQuinn is looking to control Chalke's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can OQuinn avoid being mounted? OQuinn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Chalke lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Chalke throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. OQuinn wants to control but Chalke is keeping busy and won't allow it. Chalke takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if OQuinn can do anything to dispel that myth. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Chalke lands a nice short elbow. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chalke lands strikes from half guard. Chalke sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. OQuinn defending well though. OQuinn is trying to escape back to his feet but Chalke uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Chalke looks up at the clock and then as OQuinn takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Chalke smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Cody Chalke will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

OQuinn wants to counter the offense by Chalke and move into the clinch position. OQuinn works the jab nicely. OQuinn tries to clinch but Chalke moves out of range. OQuinn thows a left - swing and a miss! Chalke uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from OQuinn. Chalke feinted with a counter takedown. OQuinn tries to avoid it but Chalke manages to keep hold of a leg and drag OQuinn to the ground. OQuinn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Chalke tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but OQuinn was well out of range. Poor timing from Chalke. OQuinn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
OQuinn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Chalke stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chalke lunges at OQuinn with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by OQuinn's hand. OQuinn swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Chalke half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Horrible takedown attempt by Chalke or perhaps it was just good defense by OQuinn, which made it look bad. Chalke connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed OQuinn momentarily.

Chalke is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. OQuinn wants to control from the top but Chalke keeps moving. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Damien OQuinn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Cody Chalke's cut. That's time! Chalke's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Chalke moves out of range of the strikes. Chalke closes the distance and clinches up with OQuinn, looking for a takedown. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chalke connects with a nice short shot to OQuinn's temple. Chalke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. OQuinn swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cody Chalke overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. OQuinn looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chalke is one step ahead there.

OQuinn might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Chalke haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. We've been hearing that Chalke has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Chalke sitting in guard here, content to control. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Chalke won't allow OQuinn to sweep him here.

OQuinn's coach down at Russian Fighting Community Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on OQuinn's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. OQuinn fails with an attempt to clinch.
OQuinn takes a swing at Chalke's ribcage but misses. Chalke misses with a body kick. OQuinn gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Chalke. OQuinn looks to land a right hand but Chalke moved out of range. Chalke throws a hook but OQuinn avoids it easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Damien OQuinn. I think OQuinn has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
