Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
20 - 5 - 3, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rafael Flores!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
29 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, MC Wisk!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flores throws a lazy right hand but Wisk sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Wisk throws a low kick but Flores moves out of range easily.
Wisk has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Wisk looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Flores throws a body shot but no joy.
Wisk throws a leg kick
and Flores makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Wisk slips a straight right by Flores.
Wisk misses with a body kick.
Flores takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
A left lands for Flores.
Flores displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Wisk throws out the jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Flores looks to score with a jab to the body but Wisk is just out of range.
Wisk with a jab.
Wisk tries to clinch up but Flores circles away and keeps his distance.
Flores misses the body punch
and Wisk counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Wisk.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wisk drops Flores with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Flores looks back up at him and smiles so Wisk waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Flores is rocked!
Flores digs a good hook to Wisk's body.
Oh Flores is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wisk thuds his right hand into Flores's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Wisk circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Flores to the canvas! Flores doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Wisk keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). MC Wisk!
MC Wisk is the new light heavyweight champion!
MC Wisk tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
