Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tetsuya Shiroo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Nicolosi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shiroo comes to the cage accompanied by The Gazette / Filth In The Beauty. Nicolosi has chosen A Fistful Of Dollars by Ennio Morricone as his entrance music. Frank Nicolosi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tetsuya Shiroo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Nicolosi! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shiroo lunges at Nicolosi with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Nicolosi's hand. Nicolosi misses with a low kick.
Shiroo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nicolosi finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Nicolosi throws out a powerful jab.
It looks like Tetsuya Shiroo has been cut. Shiroo throws a big shot that misses. Shiroo scores with the left hand. Nicolosi knows he should have avoided that one. Nicolosi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Nicolosi takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Shiroo moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Nicolosi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Shiroo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Shiroo half committed to a counter leg kick. Shiroo throws a chopping leg kick but Nicolosi manages to avoid taking any serious damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nicolosi thows a left - swing and a miss! Shiroo on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Shiroo misses with a head kick.
Shiroo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Nicolosi's calf.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shiroo misses with a straight right. Nicolosi only half commits to the counter leg kick. Nicolosi staying out of range there. A looping hook to the body misses from Shiroo. Nicolosi does a little dance to reset his feet. Nicolosi throws a leg kick which misses Shiroo's front leg but catches the back leg as Shiroo tries to avoid it. Shiroo thumps Nicolosi with a low kick. Nicolosi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Shiroo throws a looping overhand right but Nicolosi ducks down to avoid it. Shiroo misses with a body shot.
Shiroo looks to land a body kick but Nicolosi moved away. Nicolosi swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Shiroo pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A jab from Nicolosi misses. Nicolosi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shiroo. Nicolosi misses with a low kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shiroo. Frank Nicolosi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nicolosi drops his hands momentarily and Shiroo takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Shiroo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shiroo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Nicolosi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Shiroo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nicolosi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Nicolosi wants to improve his position but Shiroo is controlling well.
Shiroo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shiroo is working for a kimura but Nicolosi is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nicolosi tries to get to full guard but Shiroo has control of the leg. Nicolosi wants to control but Shiroo is keeping busy and won't allow it. Nicolosi actively working from the bottom here. Nicolosi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Shiroo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Shiroo is working for a submission of some sort.
Shiroo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Nicolosi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nicolosi is trying to maintain the position but Shiroo is very close to passing his half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tetsuya Shiroo dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tetsuya Shiroo's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Shiroo thuds his shin into the meat of Nicolosi's side. Shiroo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nicolosi can do to turn this around? Shiroo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nicolosi cracks Shiroo with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Good standup being displayed there by Shiroo as he connects with a hook. Nicolosi goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Shiroo swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Shiroo blocks a head kick by Nicolosi.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Shiroo, as that shot connected.
Shiroo throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Nicolosi. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nicolosi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Nicolosi unleashes a big counter combination but Shiroo bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Shiroo is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Nicolosi - that will leave a mark!
Shiroo tests Nicolosi's chin there with a solid looking shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nicolosi throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shiroo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nicolosi throws a hook but Shiroo blocks it. Tetsuya Shiroo is winning the standup battle so far. Nicolosi is looking to clinch. Shiroo throws a lazy uppercut
and Nicolosi counters with a nice body shot. Nicolosi tries to clinch but Shiroo moves out of range. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Shiroo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Nicolosi - the referee stops the clock and Shiroo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Nicolosi. Shiroo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Shiroo closes the distance and clinches up with Nicolosi, looking for a takedown. Shiroo pushes Nicolosi against the cage but Nicolosi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nicolosi now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Nicolosi connects with the punch. Nicolosi lands a nice shot that snaps Shiroo's head back.
Shiroo throws a half hearted mid kick. Shiroo backing away here, and Nicolosi unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Shiroo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nicolosi connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Nicolosi darts in and clinches Shiroo up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nicolosi lands a shot to the body. Nicolosi misses with a punch to the body.
Shiroo takes a shot to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nicolosi tries a knee to the head but Shiroo blocks it.
Shiroo misses with a hook from the clinch. Shiroo presses Nicolosi against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Shiroo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nicolosi feints and then cracks Shiroo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Shiroo down. Shiroo shoots in looking for a takedown but Nicolosi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Shiroo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Nicolosi avoids a kick to the body.
A nice side step and Nicolosi releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Shiroo throws a hook but Nicolosi blocks it. Tetsuya Shiroo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shiroo steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Nicolosi. That one must have hurt. Some bone on bone action there as Shiroo checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Shiroo takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shiroo looking to score a takedown here. Nicolosi is defending well but Shiroo drives through and ends up in Nicolosi's guard. Shiroo looking to pass the guard. Nicolosi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Shiroo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nicolosi swivels though and keeps the full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nicolosi is on top in guard.
Nicolosi pushes down on Shiroo's leg and manages to get into half guard. Shiroo is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Nicolosi has latched onto it... Big trouble! Nicolosi pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Shiroo is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Nicolosi!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Frank Nicolosi! An out of breath and clearly excited Frank Nicolosi thanked Sun-Tzu for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him). Tetsuya Shiroo was interviewed post fight and said 'I was prepared to die in this cage tonight. The opponent was the better man today but I will be back stronger.'.
