Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ron Garner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alejandro Sepulveda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sepulveda comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Llorando se Fue kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ron Garner!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Alejandro Sepulveda!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garner fails with the takedown.
Garner doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Garner throws a looping overhand right but Sepulveda ducks down to avoid it.
Sepulveda looks to clinch
and Garner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sepulveda works the jab nicely.


It looks like Ron Garner has been cut.
Garner looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sepulveda ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Garner moves away.
Garner steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sepulveda.
Garner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sepulveda's waist but Sepulveda gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Garner off to one side.
Sepulveda swings for the body but Garner moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Garner counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Sepulveda kicks Garner off and gets to his feet.

Sepulveda lands with a straight right. Garner didn't see that one coming.
Garner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sepulveda's waist but Sepulveda gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Garner off to one side.

Garner scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Garner is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sepulveda is just riding it out for now. Garner eventually gives up the hold.
Garner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Garner is looking for a kimura but Sepulveda is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Garner to get the leverage.

Garner seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sepulveda does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Garner is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sepulveda doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Garner.

Garner seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Sepulveda has recovered full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Sepulveda tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Garner was well out of range. Poor timing from Sepulveda.
Garner throws a right hand that Sepulveda ducks under and follows up with a left that Sepulveda also avoids with ease.

Alejandro Sepulveda is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sepulveda swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Garner changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sepulveda looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Garner dives in for a single leg takedown but Sepulveda sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Garner tightens his grip and picks Sepulveda up, before dumping him to the ground. Sepulveda manages to land in guard.

A close third round but Alejandro Sepulveda just about did enough to take it.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Sepulveda misses with a wild body shot.
Garner throws a hook but Sepulveda blocks it.

and Sepulveda counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A combination from Sepulveda does no damage.
Garner walks into a jab.
A right-left combo lands from Sepulveda.
Sepulveda cracks Garner with a right hand to the side of the head.
Sepulveda has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Sepulveda connects with a body shot that sends Garner's belly button to the back.
Sepulveda getting the better of the striking in that exchange.


Garner is rocked!
Garner backs away from a small jab... but Sepulveda lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Garner crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Sepulveda with a spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 4, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Alejandro Sepulveda!

After the fight, Alejandro Sepulveda was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
