Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Akira Hendrix! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathan Summers! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Alyssa Summers and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hendrix wants to clinch and Summers counters with a straight right hand. Hendrix takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Summers, right into the meat.
We've been told by Hendrix's head coaches at Bi-Polar Asylum LV's #1 Public Training Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Hendrix doesn't manage to clinch there - Summers circles away.
Summers is looking to land body kicks. Hendrix closes the distance but Summers moves to the side and Summers makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Summers wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Summers digs a good body shot into Hendrix's ribs. Summers throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Hendrix uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Summers.
Summers with a hook. Hendrix tries to clinch but Summers moves out of range. Summers throws a low kick, looking for Hendrix's leg but Hendrix calmly moves out of range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hendrix tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Summers connects with a body shot that sends Hendrix's belly button to the back. Summers connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Summers fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Hendrix misses with a jab to the body
and Summers counters with a nice uppercut. Summers throws a wild body kick that Hendrix sees coming a mile off. Summers drops Hendrix with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hendrix looks back up at him and smiles so Summers waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Hendrix is rocked! Summers lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nathan Summers! Nathan Summers decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
