Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown tries to sprawl but Nikolaev drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Brown won't allow Nikolaev to pass to mount.
Nikolaev winds up and cracks Brown with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Nikolaev throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Brown to regain full guard.
Brown looking for subs off his back but Nikolaev has passed one foot through into half guard.
Nikolaev is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Nikolaev stays in close to Brown's body and controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown has Nikolaev pulled in close to control his posture.
Nikolaev missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Nikolaev has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Nikolaev wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position.

Nikolaev seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brown does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Nikolaev is stalling here. Brown is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Nikolaev seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Brown has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown with the ground and pound but Nikolaev uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Brown throws a big right hand that misses.
Nikolaev is looking to cinch up a triangle. Brown throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Nikolaev's body to avoid the submission. Nikolaev has instead reached around Brown's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Nikolaev arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
