Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mike Charles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nadaris Son (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Charles! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nadaris Son! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Son throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Charles sees it coming and avoids it easily. Charles half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Son thows a left - swing and a miss! Charles motions for Son to come forward. Charles throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Son misses with a looping left. Charles appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Son has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Son moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Son looks to land a left hand but Charles moved out of range nicely. Charles swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Son lands a two punch combo.
Son is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. A bone on bone clash there as Son blocks the leg kick.
Son tries to bum rush Charles with a series of wild strikes but Charles uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Charles half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Son bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Charles's head. Charles uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Son. A telegraphed right hand from Son misses the target. Charles changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Charles ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Son moves away. A little jabbing left from Son on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Son throws a jab when Charles was well out of range. Son bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Charles's head backwards. Son misses with a looping left. Charles steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Son. Charles appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Charles throws a leg kick that is checked and Son counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Charles slips under a jab from Son. Charles attempts a counter takedown but Son avoids it well and moves away. Charles closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Son tries to break the clinch but Charles is controlling the position. Son is trying to push Charles away but Charles has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Charles keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Son's efforts to push away. Charles stalls. Son has had enough of the clinch but Charles keeps him there for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Son wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Charles has him pressed against the cage. Son wants to get back to striking at distance but Charles won't allow it.
Son breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Son throws a hook but Charles avoids it easily. Charles drops down looking for a counter takedown but Son sprawls and moves away. A low kick from Charles misses and Son connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Son looks to land a right hand but Charles moved out of range. Charles tries to counter with a takedown but Son is quick to defend against it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Son throws an overhand right that lands on Charles's shoulder, as Charles tries to avoid the shot. Charles feinted with a counter takedown. Son misses with a looping left. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nadaris Son dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Son pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Charles throws a leg kick that misses. Son tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Charles lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Son has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Son and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Son avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Nadaris Son seems to be getting the better of the standup. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Son throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Charles throws a body punch but Son moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Charles slips a jab from Son. Charles throws a poor cross that misses
and Son connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Charles clinches up with Son and pushes him back against the cage. Son is trying to force a seperation but Charles has the dominant position. Son has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Charles tries to land knees in the clinch but Son avoids the damage to the body. Charles keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Son's efforts to push away. Charles is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Son's face as he tries to break the clinch. Charles taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Charles has Son pressed against the cage, preventing Son from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Charles prevents Son from breaking the clinch. Son looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Son wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Charles has him pressed against the cage. Charles pulls guard effortlessly. Son trying to stand up but can't free himself from Charles's guard. Son must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Charles working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Son doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Charles is tightening it up a little... Son has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Son reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Son taps out! Nice BJJ there by Charles!

Mike Charles gave a mention to Sully's Bar & Grill in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
