Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ivan Gore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chance Birmbaum!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Birmbaum throws a low kick, looking for Gore's leg but Gore calmly moves out of range.
Gore throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Birmbaum has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gore is landing a low percentage of strikes.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gore. Birmbaum does a little dance to reset his feet.
Birmbaum with the counter takedown but Gore avoids it easily.
Birmbaum gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Gore lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Birmbaum tries to land a leg kick but Gore saw it coming and moves away.
Gore throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Birmbaum fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Birmbaum counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gore utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Birmbaum tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Gore pushes Birmbaum away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Birmbaum gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gore avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Birmbaum.
Gore tries to escape but Birmbaum is in control.

Gore has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Birmbaum off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Gore tries to close the distance and clinch but Birmbaum swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Birmbaum tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Gore scores with the left hand. Birmbaum knows he should have avoided that one.

Gore swings for the body but Birmbaum moves out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Birmbaum shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gore pinned against the cage. Gore gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Gore throws a hook but Birmbaum blocks it.
Birmbaum changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Gore looks to score with a jab to the body but Birmbaum is just out of range.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Gore thuds his right hand into Birmbaum's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

The fighters circle momentarily. Gore darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Birmbaum steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Gore. That one must have hurt.
Birmbaum shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gore as he jumps to the side.
Ivan Gore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chance Birmbaum.

and Birmbaum counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Birmbaum is trying to control. Gore wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Birmbaum is working for a kimura but Gore is defending it quite comfortably.

Gore throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Birmbaum shoots for a double leg takedown but Gore sprawls well. He's pushed Birmbaum's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gore lands with a thumping leg kick.
Birmbaum fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gore manages to avoid it.
And Gore counters with a quick kick to the body but Birmbaum blocks it.

Gore connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Gore throws a hook to the side of Birmbaum's head but Birmbaum sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Gore counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Gore lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Birmbaum gets tackled into the cage by Gore. Gore maintains the clinch.
Gore lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Birmbaum throws a punch but it's blocked by Gore.
A short body shot lands from Gore as the two fighters clinch.
Birmbaum looking for a takedown.
A head punch on the inside from Gore fails to land.
Birmbaum stalling in the clinch but Gore improves position.
Gore lands a hook to the side of the head.
Gore lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Birmbaum backwards.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gore is trying to maintain a safe position but Birmbaum gets an underhook and turns Gore into the cage.

Gore doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Birmbaum is rocked!

Birmbaum is still on wobbly legs! Can Gore finish him?
Gore works on Birmbaum's body with a couple of short punches.
Birmbaum takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Birmbaum is trying to drag Gore to the mat but Gore just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Gore is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Gore dips a shoulder and cracks Birmbaum with a mighty uppercut! Birmbaum falls back against the cage and Gore unloads with a barrage of strikes! Birmbaum is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Gore screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivan Gore!
