Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Sideman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Jacks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Dennis Sideman has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dennis Sideman seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacks keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sideman swings widly with a right hand
and Jacks connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sideman closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Jacks keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sideman.
Jacks jabs at Sideman's body.
Sideman takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Sideman on the wrong end of a nice jab.
A jab from Sideman misses.
Jacks looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Jacks just misses with a punch to the body.
A big right from Jacks misses.
Sideman throws a poor cross that misses
and Jacks counters with a lovely straight right hand!


It looks like Dennis Sideman has been cut.
Jacks throws a shot to the body.

Sideman jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Jacks looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Jacks scores with a hook to the body. Sideman takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
A jab lands there for Jacks.
Sideman throws a poor cross that misses
and Jacks counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jacks takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Sideman seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Sideman doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jacks cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sideman swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Jacks counters with a nice uppercut.

Sideman shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jacks regains full guard. Nicely done.

Jacks had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sideman defends it easily.
Sideman scoring with some ground and pound.
Jacks preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Sideman is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Sideman is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Jacks has his foot on Sideman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sideman works his way back into a safe position though.
Sideman chips away with some ground and pound.
Sideman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jacks on the ground.
Sideman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jacks is keeping the position for now.

Jacks working for a triangle but Sideman defends it easily.
Sideman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Sideman is looking to work some ground and pound but Jacks has wrist control.

Sideman stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Jacks has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Sideman manages to get his head free but now Jacks has transitioned to an armbar! Sideman grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Jacks! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Brian Jacks!
A very excited looking Brian Jacks made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
