Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce McGregor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hugh Jaskok!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A head kick misses from McGregor.
Jaskok swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Jaskok avoids the head kick by McGregor.
McGregor shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

McGregor shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jaskok's guard.

Jaskok has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. McGregor has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Jaskok lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of McGregor backwards.
I was talking to McGregor's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jaskok lands with a light punch inside.
Jaskok scores with a shoulder strike.

Jaskok lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

McGregor breaks from the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from McGregor is defended easily by Jaskok.

Jaskok catches McGregor napping and connects with a big right hand that sends McGregor to the canvas!


McGregor is rocked!


It looks like Bruce McGregor has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McGregor wants to stand up but Jaskok is controlling him.
Oh McGregor is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jaskok is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
McGregor seems to have got his legs back now.

Jaskok thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
McGregor can't keep his opponent in guard - Jaskok advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
McGregor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jaskok on the ground.

Jaskok is looking for a kimura here.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jaskok in particular looking to stall.

Jaskok wants to work for an arm triangle but McGregor is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

McGregor has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jaskok is working away from the top position though.

Jaskok is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McGregor is just riding it out for now. Jaskok eventually gives up the hold.

Jaskok content to control rather than advance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jaskok is sneakily working for an arm triangle but McGregor sees it coming and defends easily.

McGregor wants to get back to full guard.

Jaskok is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McGregor defends it well.
Jaskok is controlling the pace.
Jaskok's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Jaskok works his foot free and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hugh Jaskok dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Bruce McGregor's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


McGregor swinging wildly here.
Jaskok has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
McGregor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McGregor doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Bruce McGregor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGregor tries a head kick but it misses.
Jaskok is clearly trying to counter these attacks from McGregor with a body shot.
McGregor tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jaskok sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McGregor somewhat.

A jab from Jaskok does it's job there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jaskok lands a glancing blow to the side of McGregor's head.
McGregor fails with a takedown attempt.
Jaskok throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McGregor stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jaskok has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as McGregor is landing a low percentage of strikes.

McGregor shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruce McGregor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jaskok lands with an uppercut that bounces McGregor off the cage and back into range.
Jaskok scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Jaskok has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Jaskok flashes McGregor a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. McGregor's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. McGregor crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Jaskok punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hugh Jaskok!
Hugh Jaskok took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'Yo Las Vegas we did it baby! Snap Tap Repeat! Thank all of you for the support, my coaches, and PVZ! Daddy's got another bonus to add to the paycheck!'.
Bruce McGregor was interviewed post fight and said 'I just need to get back in the gym and train harder .. I promise you will see me again real soon '.
