Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Erick Clap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Monteban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clap kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Burn it to the ground. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 2, fighting out of New York, Erick Clap! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ricardo Monteban! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monteban defending well as Clap loads up on a big left hand. Clap throws a body kick that misses and Monteban counters with a low kick, right behind Clap 's knee. Monteban throws a leg kick but Clap moved away. Monteban looks for the body kick but Clap saw that one coming. Monteban tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Clap swivels and escapes. Clap appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Clap scores with a nice body kick.
Monteban is looking to chop away at Clap's legs. Monteban misses with a low kick. Clap moves away from the strike by Monteban. Clap is looking to clinch but Monteban is avoiding it.
Clap misses with an uppercut
and Monteban counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Monteban. Clap is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Monteban defends well. Monteban preventing the sweep. Monteban trying to control the position from guard on top but Clap is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clap has momentary wrist control but Monteban slips an elbow through the middle. Monteban is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Clap has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Clap is trying to keep Monteban in close.
Monteban postures up in Clap's guard and throws a big left but Clap blocks it. Monteban trying to control the position from guard on top but Clap is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Clap trying to keep a closed guard but Monteban is proving a slippery customer.
Monteban throwing strikes but missing. Monteban is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Monteban throws a big right hand that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Monteban missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Clap had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Monteban defends it easily. Monteban loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Monteban passes Clap's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Monteban trying to control from half guard but Clap is working away. Monteban scoring with strikes to the body and head. Monteban prevents Clap from improving his position. Clap manages to get to full guard.
Monteban is looking to advance position but Clap has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clap can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Monteban is looking to escape. Monteban gets back to half guard. Monteban looking for submissions off his back. Clap thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Monteban's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Still in half guard, Clap seems content to control. Clap seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Monteban does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Monteban tries to get to full guard but Clap has control of the leg. Clap with the ground and pound but Monteban uses the opportunity to regain guard. Clap trying to control but Monteban is working from the bottom. Monteban has his foot on Clap's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Clap works his way back into a safe position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Monteban is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Clap tries to free his leg and advance position but Monteban is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clap throws a body shot but no joy. Monteban swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A solid leg kick lands there for Clap.
Monteban avoids a kick to the body.
Clap with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Monteban to score with a decent uppercut. Monteban fails with a takedown attempt. Monteban lands a nice looking body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Monteban connects with an inside leg kick. Clap looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Clap gets caught flat footed, as Monteban shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Monteban won't allow Clap to sweep him here. Monteban postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monteban got a little sloppy there for a moment and Clap has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Monteban has managed to get both his arms back between Clap's legs - danger averted. Monteban loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Monteban trying to control but Clap is working from the bottom. Monteban trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Monteban missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Monteban throws a big elbow that misses. Monteban trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Clap working a defensive guard here.
Clap is controlling Monteban's posture. Clap working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Monteban has passed into half guard!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clap trying to control but Monteban postures up.
Clap avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Monteban. Monteban is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Clap has managed to free his arm - good work. Monteban seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Clap looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Monteban has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Monteban moves into full mount! Clap won't be happy about that!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Monteban controlling from the full mount. The referee warns Clap that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Monteban cracks Clap with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Clap is rocked! Clap tries to hold on but Monteban pushes him away. Monteban postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Clap looks a forlorn figure.
Oh Clap is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Monteban scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Clap?
Ricardo Monteban has got the better of the ground game so far. Monteban has isolated one of Clap's arms. Clap looking to fight him off but Monteban twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
