20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jay Gatsby! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Templar tests Gatsby's chin there with a solid looking shot. Templar steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Gatsby. That one must have hurt. Templar moves out of range of the body kick. Wesley Templar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Templar misses with a hook. Gatsby ducked under it nicely. Gatsby uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Templar. Gatsby waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Templar. Templar rushes Gatsby and presses him up against the cage. Gatsby blocks a body shot from Templar. Templar misses with a short punch on the inside. Gatsby prevents a body shot from Templar. Gatsby lands with a short head shot on the inside. The referee is keeping an eye on Templar - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gatsby lands with a short shot to the head. Gatsby landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gatsby is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Templar is hurt! He's hurt bad - Gatsby fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Templar from any more punishment! Congratulations to Gatsby! Great finish!
