Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Driver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes to the cage accompanied by Stand By Me-Florence + The Machine. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dwayne James! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ed Driver! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Driver lands a nice shot to the body. Driver blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Driver misses with a body punch.
James misses with a shot to the kidneys.
James lands a left hand.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for James. Driver escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Driver ducks down and throws a hook to the body. James tries to clinch enabling Driver to counter with a crisp jab. Driver scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Driver has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. James wants to clinch. Driver connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. James is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Driver throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's one minute gone in the round. Driver misses with a hook. Driver cracks James with an open hand slap. James blocks a jab. James doesn't manage to clinch there - Driver circles away.
James ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Driver lands a jab to James's midsection. James takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Driver throws a hook to the side of James's head but James sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Driver lands with a nice body punch. James drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. James has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from James there as he acknowledges the shot. Driver throws a combination. James tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! James tries to close the distance and clinch but Driver swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. James is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Driver.
James is rocked! Driver ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Oh James is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! James tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Driver let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. James seems to have got his legs back now. James takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Driver throws a nice looking combination but James bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Driver misses with a looping left. James is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Driver fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Driver punishes James's body with a nice straight punch. Driver with a body punch. A glancing blow. James is breathing heavily. Driver circles away from the clinch attempt.
Driver dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Driver lands a body shot.
Driver digs a good hook to James's body.
Nice uppercut there from Driver. Nice shot lands for Driver. Driver smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. James gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Driver gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! James is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ed Driver! Ed Driver is the new light heavyweight champion! After the big win, Ed Driver made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Sully's Bar & Grill and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
