8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Din Yaj! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Redman moves away from the strike by Yaj. Yaj takes a swing at Redman's ribcage but misses. A slow jab from Yaj misses its intended target. Redman lands a slapping body shot.
Danga de danga de dang - Yaj scores with a four punch combination!
It looks like JT Redman has been cut. Redman scores with a jab to the body. Redman throws a right and a left that Yaj avoids nicely. Yaj misses with a straight left. Redman fails to land with a series of punches.
A combination from Redman does no damage. Redman connects with a high kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Redman jabs Yaj to the body, keeping him at a distance. Redman misses with a left hand and Yaj cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Yaj looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Redman drops Yaj with a naaaaasty hook - Yaj is in real trouble here! Redman dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). JT Redman! After the fight, JT Redman was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
