Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Drako Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gil Jacobson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bravo comes to the cage accompanied by Jiu Jitsu by Eddie Bravo. Jacobson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Over, Under, Sideways, Down. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Drako Bravo! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gil Jacobson! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bravo looks to throw the jab but Jacobson is out of range. Jacobson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bravo momentarily.
It looks like Drako Bravo has been cut. Jacobson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Bravo fails with the takedown. A little jabbing left from Jacobson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Bravo throws a hook to the side of Jacobson's head but Jacobson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Bravo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jacobson! But no joy. Bravo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jacobson. No luck for Bravo with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Drako Bravo. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jacobson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Bravo defending well as Jacobson loads up on a big left hand. Bravo tries to counter with a takedown but Jacobson is quick to defend against it. A jab from Jacobson misses. Bravo doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bravo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bravo is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bravo shoots in looking for a takedown. Jacobson tries to sprawl out of it but Bravo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jacobson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bravo shoots in looking for a takedown but Jacobson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bravo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. The fighters circle momentarily. Jacobson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Oh Bravo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Jacobson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bravo. Drako Bravo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bravo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jacobson counters with a big right hand! Oh Bravo is in trouble here! Jacobson follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gil Jacobson! Gil Jacobson is the new lightweight champion! An out of breath Gil Jacobson thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
