Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Redman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redman has chosen Put Your Lights On as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Billy Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Damien Redman!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redman throws a sloppy head kick and Bush moves out of range easily.
Redman scores with a head kick. Bush tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


It looks like Billy Bush has been cut.
Bush looks for a takedown but Redman sprawls well.
Redman tries to counter by closing the distance.
We've been informed that Redman has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bush crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Redman - the referee stops the clock and Bush gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Redman. Bush manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Redman misses with a left hand

and Bush counters by moving into the clinch.
Bush blocks an elbow strike.
Bush is trying to drag Redman to the mat but Redman just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Bush wants to take the fight to the mat but Redman manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Bush. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Redman throws an elbow but it misses.
Bush drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bush is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Redman gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Redman lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Come on Redman - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Bush blocks an elbow strike from Redman.
Redman is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Redman gets underhooks to prevent Bush's takedown attempt.
Bush is trying to drag Redman to the mat but Redman just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Redman lands an elbow inside that Bush shrugs off.
Redman lands an elbow just above Bush 's eye.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Redman.
Bush drops down looking for an ankle pick but Redman pulls his leg out and moves away.

Redman rushes Bush and presses him up against the cage.
Bush taking a breather.
Redman throws an elbow that misses.
Bush is looking to take this one to the mat.
Redman lands an elbow that stopped Bush in his tracks for a moment.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
With the fighters up against the cage, Redman throws an elbow but misses.
Bush drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bush breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Damien Redman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Redman throws a nice outside leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Redman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bush.
Redman blocks a head kick by Bush.
Redman tries a head kick but it misses.
Bush tries to work over Redman's front leg with a kick but Redman checks it.
Redman wants to counter the offense by Bush and move into the clinch position.
Bush shoots and misses

and Redman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Bush breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A slapping leg kick lands for Redman.
Redman takes a head kick and keeps coming.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bush.
Bush misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nice straight punches there by Redman. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Redman.


Billy Bush's cut is getting worse.
Bush gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Redman counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bush throws a head kick that misses.
Redman tries to counter by closing the distance.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Redman! Bush is out on his feet! Redman rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Bush is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Bush is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Damien Redman!
Damien Redman decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
