Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Painter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Harry Painter!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Painter works the jab nicely.


It looks like Jimmy Burns has been cut.
Painter keeps the fight on the outside.
Painter feints the counter takedown.
Painter throws a big shot that misses.
Burns keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A swing and a miss from Painter.
Burns feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Burns fails in his attempt to clinch.
Burns could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Burns ducks under a wild hook from Painter.
A big right from Painter misses.
Painter defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Burns.
Painter feints the counter takedown.
Burns uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Painter.
Painter lands a jab to the nose.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Painter throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Burns was covering up waiting for the punch and Painter finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Painter trying to control the position from guard on top but Burns is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Burns working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Painter.
Burns is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Painter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Burns works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Painter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Burns throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Painter trying to control the position from guard on top but Burns is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Painter controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Painter swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Burns tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A slow jab from Painter misses its intended target.
Burns ducks under a wild hook from Painter.
Burns keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Painter.
A big right from Painter misses.
Painter throws a body punch but Burns moves out of range.
Painter thows a left - swing and a miss!
Burns looks for a takedown but Painter sprawls well.
Burns bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Burns gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Painter to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Burns strikes from his own guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Painter trying to control the position from guard on top but Burns is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Burns working for a triangle but Painter defends it easily.
Burns is trying to keep Painter in close.
Painter is fighting to break Burns's control of his arms but Burns is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Painter wants to control from the top but Burns keeps moving.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Painter loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Burns is looking to chop away at Painter's legs.
Painter dives in for a single leg takedown but Burns sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Burns is defended easily by Painter.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Burns. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harry Painter dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jimmy Burns's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Some wild striking there from Painter.
Burns shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Painter as he avoids it easily.
Painter might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Burns moves forwards but Painter connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Painter sizes up Burns with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Painter drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Burns right on the button. Burns goes down! Painter follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Painter gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Harry Painter!
