Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
35 - 22 - 0, fighting out of London, Virgil Keller! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sergio Aguilar! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Keller throws a leg kick that misses. Aguilar throws a jab but it's blocked by Keller. Keller misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Aguilar looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Keller! Aguilar is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Keller has escaped the position, nice work there. Keller tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Aguilar wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Keller is working hard here to advance position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Aguilar tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Aguilar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Aguilar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's one minute gone in the round. Aguilar trying to control the action but Keller is working from the bottom. Aguilar is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Aguilar is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Keller's shoulder. That is not cool. Aguilar trying to control the position but Keller is working away. Keller is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Aguilar is looking to take a break and control but Keller is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Aguilar remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aguilar is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Aguilar frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Keller has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Aguilar is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Keller with him. Keller is trying to defend but Aguilar has an arm under the chin now! Keller grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sergio Aguilar! Sergio Aguilar retains his middleweight title! Sergio Aguilar tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
