Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bartek Pietrzak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Incheol Wonha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 42 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bartek Pietrzak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Incheol Wonha!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wonha uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pietrzak.
Wonha is looking to clinch.
Pietrzak attempts a counter takedown but Wonha avoids it well and moves away.
Wonha works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Bartek Pietrzak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pietrzak throws a low kick but it's checked well by Wonha.

I really don't envy Wonha right now.

Pietrzak has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Wonha's body.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Pietrzak wants to control but Wonha manages to buck him off and is now in Pietrzak's guard! Nice work there by Wonha!
Pietrzak is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Wonha must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Pietrzak is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A looping hook to the body misses from Pietrzak. Wonha does a little dance to reset his feet.

Pietrzak lands a nice looking body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters circling - Pietrzak throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wonha looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bartek Pietrzak will probably get the nod.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Pietrzak lands a nice hook to Wonha's body. Wonha takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pietrzak fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wonha sprawls well initially but Pietrzak persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Pietrzak is nestled in close to Wonha, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pietrzak in particular looking to stall.
Wonha is controlling Pietrzak's trapped leg to prevent Pietrzak from advancing to side control.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bartek Pietrzak.
I think Pietrzak has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
