Keon Williams struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 187.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keon Williams! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A left lands for Buckshank.
It looks like Keon Williams has been cut. Buckshank takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Buckshank swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Buckshank lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Williams throws a right and a left that Buckshank avoids nicely. Buckshank buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Buckshank seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Buckshank throws a shot from downtown. Williams moves away and avoids it. Buckshank lands the left hand. Buckshank tries a head kick but it misses.
Buckshank is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Buckshank lets loose with a powerful body kick. Williams will feel that in the morning.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buckshank drops Williams with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Williams looks back up at him and smiles so Buckshank waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Williams is rocked! Buckshank throws a nice inside leg kick. Williams is still on wobbly legs! Can Buckshank finish him? Williams drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Buckshank staying out of range there. Buckshank throws an overhand right that lands on Williams's shoulder, as Williams tries to avoid the shot. Williams seems to have recovered his senses. Buckshank lands with a thumping leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Buckshank sends Williams crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Buckshank is motioning to the referee to let Williams up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
That has opened up Keon Williams's cut even more. Buckshank lands a leg kick that knocks Williams off balance momentarily. Buckshank circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Williams drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Buckshank follows Williams to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ozamataz Buckshank! Ozamataz Buckshank retains his middleweight title! Ozamataz Buckshank really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Flying Knee Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty. The defeated Keon Williams had this to say: '4 lost fights in a row.. That's it for me. Maybe I will work as the assistant for my manager. Who knows?! Thanks for all the cheese! I'm out..'.
