Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Leo Murray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blake Caffey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blake Caffey will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Leo Murray!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Blake Caffey!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caffey lands a nice leg kick that just misses Murray's sensitive parts.
Caffey misses with a low kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Caffey lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Murray has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Murray and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Murray shoots in and bounces Caffey off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Caffey is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Murray is controlling him.

Murray wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Caffey, who protects the arm well.
Caffey is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Murray asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Murray is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Caffey has escaped the position, nice work there.
Caffey is trying to get back to his feet.
Caffey is not content to let Murray control the position.

Murray thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Murray throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Caffey avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Murray.

Murray has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Caffey fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Murray has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Murray fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Caffey to the ground. Murray is now in Caffey's guard.
Caffey is wriggling around but Murray manages to pass to half guard.

Murray decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Murray chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Caffey can pounce on him.

Murray throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Caffey was covering up waiting for the punch and Murray finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Caffey wants to stand but Murray is controlling the position.
Murray seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Caffey pivots, looking for a leg kick but Murray is out of range and Caffey settles back down.
Caffey does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Murray checks the leg kick.
Caffey is looking to slow Murray down with leg kicks.
Murray checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Murray shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Caffey as he avoids it easily.
A solid leg kick lands there for Caffey.
Murray has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Caffey.
Caffey throws a leg kick that misses.
Good leg kick by Caffey there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Caffey throws a head kick but Murray moves out of range.

Leo Murray is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Murray throws a big counter combination but Caffey scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Murray controlling from the top position.
Murray's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Murray has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Caffey wants to stand and escape but Murray is having none of it.
Murray keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Caffey's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Murray is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Murray gets the takedown into side control.
Murray wants to control but Caffey is keeping him busy.

Murray working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Murray thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Murray is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Caffey knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Caffey is letting Murray control him for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Murray has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Caffey!
Murray has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Caffey's face.

Murray is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Caffey can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That was a close second round but I would say that Leo Murray will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Murray closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Caffey's guard.

Murray drops back looking for a leg! Caffey is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Caffey manages to kick Murray off! Murray jumps back into Caffey's guard.

Caffey keeping moving, preventing Murray from controlling successfully.

Murray decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Caffey, up you get!

Murray feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Caffey is looking to stand back up but Murray counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Caffey.

Murray is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Caffey can do to turn this around?

Caffey wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Murray.
Caffey tries to buck Murray off but he can't manage it.

Caffey really wants to buck Murray off and get back to his feet.

Murray wants to finish this one by submission but Caffey is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Murray.

Murray tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Caffey is trying to stand up.
Caffey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murray. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Blake Caffey has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Leo Murray is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Leo Murray showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Murray, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
