PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stoic Face Mousasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Silver Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silver Jr has chosen Better as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stoic Face Mousasi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thomas Silver Jr!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver Jr clobbers Mousasi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Mousasi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silver Jr but Silver Jr pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mousasi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Silver Jr darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Mousasi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Silver Jr defends it nicely.
Silver Jr connects with a jab.
Thomas Silver Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silver Jr swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mousasi tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Silver Jr manages to circle out of the way.
Mousasi blocks a jab.
Mousasi doesn't manage to clinch there - Silver Jr circles away.
Silver Jr unleashes a big counter combination but Mousasi bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Silver Jr cracks Mousasi with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Silver Jr lands a nice shot that snaps Mousasi's head back.


Mousasi is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silver Jr ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Mousasi's jaw. Mousasi's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Silver Jr does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Thomas Silver Jr!
Thomas Silver Jr decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
