Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jong Un Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kantaro Hoshino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
30 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jong Un Kim! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
35 - 8 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kantaro Hoshino! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoshino misses with a looping right. Kim throwing a counter right hand but Hoshino manages to avoid it. Kim keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hoshino. Hoshino misses with a hook. Kim ducked under it nicely. Hoshino throws a poor cross that misses
and Hoshino takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Hoshino lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hoshino. A cross from Hoshino lands. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hoshino throws a hook to the side of Kim's head but Kim sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Hoshino throws out a loose jab but Kim uses good head movement to avoid it. Hoshino lunges at Kim with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kim's hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim misses with a body shot.
Hoshino connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kim. Kim circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Kim is rocked! Hoshino throws a hook but Kim blocks it. Hoshino misses with a two punch combination.
A little feinted left hand from Kim on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Some wild striking there from Hoshino.
Hoshino uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kim.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kim throws a hook to the side of Hoshino's head but Hoshino sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kim smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Kim fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hoshino manages to avoid it. Kim looks to throw the jab but Hoshino is out of range. Hoshino now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Kim takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Hoshino throws a lazy right hand but Kim sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kim throwing a counter right hand but Hoshino manages to avoid it. Jab, jab by Kim - just one landing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kim avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheers as Kim lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hoshino doesn't seem phased though. Kim misses with a right hand and Hoshino counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Hoshino thuds his right hand into Kim's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Hoshino might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Hoshino swings widly with a right hand
and Kim counters by clinching up. Hoshino's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hoshino cracks Kim with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Hoshino has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kim to stand back up! Oh Kim is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kim switches off momentarily and Hoshino cracks him with a monster right hand! Kim topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Hoshino dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Hoshino!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kantaro Hoshino! Kantaro Hoshino is the new bantamweight champion! Kantaro Hoshino really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Hellbent logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty. Jong Un Kim was interviewed post fight and said 'Fucking auto flights are the death of me.'.
