Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashton chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Freeman can pounce on him.
Ashton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Freeman manages to avoid it.
Ashton tries to bum rush Freeman with a series of wild strikes but Freeman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A little feinted left hand from Freeman on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Eric Ashton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ashton throws a head kick that misses.
Freeman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ashton with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Freeman to score with a decent uppercut.
Freeman definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Freeman uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ashton.
Freeman defending well as Ashton loads up on a big left hand.
Freeman seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Freeman moves forwards but Ashton connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Freeman walks into a stiff left hand from Ashton.
Freeman lands a glancing blow to the side of Ashton's head.
The fighters circling - Ashton throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ashton misses with a lunging right hand
and Freeman counters with a stiff right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ashton throws a hook but Freeman avoids it easily.
Ashton pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Freeman wants to clinch
and Ashton counters with a one-two to the body.

Freeman just misses with a punch to the body.
Ashton takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Ashton scores with a jab to the jaw.
Ashton gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Freeman counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Ashton misses with a body punch.
Ashton is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Ashton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ashton loads up on a big right hand but Freeman slips the punch.
Ashton misses with a right hand
and Freeman counters with a nice uppercut.
A nice combination there by Freeman.
Ashton avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
We've been informed that Ashton has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Ashton connects with a right hand. Freeman shakes it off.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Freeman tries to move into range but Ashton moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Ashton misses with a kick to the body.
Ashton throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Freeman counters with a slapping leg kick.

A decent looking cross lands there for Freeman.
Ashton slips a jab from Freeman.

Freeman takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Freeman on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Ashton lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Ashton gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Freeman.
Ashton throws a body shot but no joy.
Freeman is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Freeman punishes Ashton's body with a nice straight punch.
Ashton throws a lazy uppercut
and Freeman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Freeman avoids a kick to the body.
Ashton looks to throw the jab but Freeman is out of range.
Freeman swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Freeman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ashton.
The crowd cheers as Ashton lands an impressive looking overhand right. Freeman doesn't seem phased though.

Ashton misses with a looping left.
Freeman has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Ashton takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Ashton throws a shot from downtown. Freeman moves away and avoids it.
Freeman rushes Ashton with punches - Ashton moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Ashton goes down! Freeman follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gavin Freeman!
