Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Barry Squireson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Bombay!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Kavanagh and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Bombay misses
enabling Squireson to counter with a crisp jab.
Squireson dips to his left and cracks Bombay with an uppercut!
Squireson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Nice shot by Squireson.
Bombay moves out of range as Squireson strikes.
Squireson lands with a nice body punch.
Squireson cracks Bombay with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Squireson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bombay.
Squireson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Squireson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bombay manages to avoid it.
Squireson lands with a straight right. Bombay didn't see that one coming.
Bombay's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Squireson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bombay scrambles back to his feet.
Bombay is rocked!
Squireson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Bombay is still on wobbly legs! Can Squireson finish him?
Squireson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bombay moves away.
Squireson lands with a good body shot.
Squireson cracks Bombay on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Bombay falls backwards against the cage. Squireson follows up with more strikes that drop Bombay to his knees. Squireson keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Bombay! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Barry Squireson!
