Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dave Monson!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khabilov catches Monson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
It looks like Dave Monson has been cut.
Monson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Khabilov avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Khabilov has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Monson.
Khabilov misses with a left hand
and Monson counters with a low kick, right behind Khabilov 's knee.
Monson throws a body kick that misses.
Khabilov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Khabilov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Monson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Khabilov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Khabilov misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Monson can't do much from the bottom here.
Khabilov grinds an elbow into Monson's temple.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Khabilov lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Monson down.
That has opened up Dave Monson's cut even more.
Khabilov lands a few punches from side control.
Monson is rocked!
The cut above Dave Monson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Monson is still in real trouble! Can Khabilov finish him?
Dave Monson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Dave Monson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Rustam Khabilov!
