The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escobar lands with a thumping leg kick.
Escobar takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Rubin defending well as Escobar loads up on a big left hand.
Rubin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A nice inside leg kick there by Escobar. That's going to slow Rubin down.
Escobar bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rubin's head.
Rubin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Rubin has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Rubin slips a jab from Escobar.
Escobar throws a chopping leg kick but Rubin manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
And Rubin tries to counter it with a takedown but Escobar pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Escobar throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Rubin connects with a single shot there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rubin lands a really nice looking cross but Escobar seems unphased.

Escobar uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rubin.
Escobar will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Rubin changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Rubin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Escobar.
Rubin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A little feinted left hand from Escobar on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Rubin lands a nice looking body shot.
Escobar takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Rubin misses with a hook
and Escobar counters with a nice low kick that buckles Rubin's knee momentarily.
Escobar staying out of range there.
Rubin checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Escobar is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rubin landing with the ground and pound.
Oh Escobar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rubin gets to his feet and stands over Escobar, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Escobar felt that one! Rubin unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Escobar from any more punishment!

After winning the bout, Timur Rubin thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
