Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig Stephens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junkyard Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stephens comes to the cage accompanied by Renegade by (hed)PE. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Craig Stephens! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Junkyard Dog! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stephens tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Stephens slips a jab and a cross from Dog.
It looked like Stephens wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Stephens displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dog throws out the jab. Stephens throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Dog counters by clinching up. Dog throws a punch but it's blocked by Stephens. Stephens wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Dog lands a nice uppercut. Stephens working hard to break the clinch. Stephens has had enough of the clinch but Dog keeps him there for the moment. Stephens pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Dog on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Dog is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Stephens. As Dog backs away, Stephens returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Stephens throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stephens lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Dog moves out of range as Stephens strikes. Dog swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Dog misses with a straight left. Stephens is looking to counter punch. Stephens takes a body punch but keeps moving. Dog slips a straight right by Stephens. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dog pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stephens takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A jab from Dog misses. Stephens throws a lazy head kick and Dog connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Dog lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Stephens at a distance.
Stephens throws out a loose jab but Dog uses good head movement to avoid it. Dog defending well as Stephens loads up on a big left hand. Dog uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Stephens. Dog swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Stephens. Dog closes the distance and pushes Stephens back into the cage. A right hand to the body from Dog.
Stephens is breathing heavily. Stephens tries to circle away but Dog has him pinned against the cage. Stephens is trying to break free. Dog lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Dog presses Stephens against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Dog lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stephens is trying to break the clinch but Dog has him pressed against the cage. Stephens has had enough of the clinch but Dog keeps him there for the moment. Dog lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Stephens backwards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A shot in the inside from Dog. A right hand to the body from Dog.
Dog lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Dog lands with a right to the head. Dog lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Stephens backwards. Our sources have told us that Stephens has been working on his elbows in the gym. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Dog creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Stephens is rocked! A left hand lands to the body for Dog.
Dog lands a shot to the body. Dog pushes Stephens back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. A nice right hand lands inside from Dog. Dog scores with a hook to the body. Dog working some nice short punches in the clinch. Oh Stephens is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Dog dips a shoulder and cracks Stephens with a mighty uppercut! Stephens falls back against the cage and Dog unloads with a barrage of strikes! Stephens is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Dog screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Junkyard Dog! Junkyard Dog is the new light heavyweight champion! After the big win, Junkyard Dog made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Sully's Bar & Grill and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
