Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diesel Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charley Hanagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hanagan has chosen Cro Mags - We Gotta Know as his entrance music. Charley Hanagan acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Diesel Owens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charley Hanagan!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanagan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Owens's guard.
Hanagan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Owens has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hanagan has managed to get both his arms back between Owens's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Owens has his foot on Hanagan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hanagan works his way back into a safe position though.
Hanagan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
It looks like Hanagan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Let's hope that Hanagan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Owens trying to keep a closed guard but Hanagan is proving a slippery customer.
Hanagan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Owens's guard.
Hanagan in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Owens tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Hanagan!

Charley Hanagan was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
