Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Baby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Hunter could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Big Baby's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Hunter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Big Baby! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Danga de danga de dang - Baby scores with a four punch combination! Baby tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hunter was well out of range. Poor timing from Baby. Hunter tries to counter with a takedown but Baby is quick to defend against it. Baby throws a quick inside leg kick. Baby misses with a body shot.
Hunter swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Big Baby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Baby tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hunter has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Baby tries a head kick but it misses.
Hunter goes for a double leg but Baby avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Baby continues to drive forward. Baby throws a counter combo. Hunter blocks a head kick by Baby.

Hunter seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Baby cracks Hunter with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hunter feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Baby's calf. Hunter tries for a takedown but Baby sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hunter pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hunter shoots in but Baby avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Hunter. That's going to take a lot out of him. A punch combination from Baby misses. Hunter misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baby blocks a head kick by Hunter.
Hunter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Baby clinches with his opponent.
Baby tries a body shot but Hunter blocks it.
Baby goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hunter prevents it.
Hunter has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Baby is trying to keep an underhook but Hunter manages to get the takedown into half guard. Hunter takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Hunter stands up from half guard. Baby rushes Hunter and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Baby misses with some punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter with a knee to the head.
It looks like Big Baby has been cut. Baby connects with a nasty looking knee right to Hunter's face.
Baby looks winded! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Baby looking to throw knees to the head but Hunter is blocking nicely.
Hunter scores with a nice hook to the head. Baby gets underhooks to prevent Hunter's takedown attempt.
Baby's coach down at Die Trying Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Baby's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Baby misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hunter.
Hunter has clasped his hands together around Baby's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The ground and pound from Hunter seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Baby seems a little lost for a moment, as Hunter dominates the positioning. Hunter stands up. Baby throws a head kick that misses. Baby shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hunter counters with a solid body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunter shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Baby napping and manages to drive through into side control! Baby really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hunter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hunter working the ground and pound. Hunter working the ground and pound. Hunter controls the position. Hunter decides to stand up, so the ref orders Baby to his feet. A left and a right from Hunter both land. Nice combination. Hunter looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Baby! Baby tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. This has been an exciting period of action! Hunter slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Baby is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Hunter gets his way!
Hunter missing with strikes. Hunter is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Baby has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Baby is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Hunter.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mark Hunter will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Big Baby's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Baby working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Hunter managing to block the knees to the body from Baby.
Baby is leaning against Hunter and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Baby tries to work over Hunter's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Baby is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hunter is defending well. Baby breaks from the clinch.
A punch combination from Baby misses. Hunter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hunter scores with a takedown into Baby's guard. Hunter is standing up over Baby. Baby looks to escape but Hunter dives into side control.
Baby is breathing heavily.

Hunter decides to take the fight back to the feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Baby. Hunter does a little dance to reset his feet. Hunter tries to counter by clinching up but Baby breaks away and moves out of range. Baby clinches up with Hunter and pushes him back against the cage. Hunter gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hunter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hunter perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Hunter uses his free foot to push down on Baby's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Baby. Hunter controlling the pace for now. Baby is in a horrible position here. Hunter smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunter sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Baby wants to get back to his feet.

Mark Hunter dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Big Baby's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Hunter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hunter stays in close to Baby's body and controls the position. Hunter passes Baby's left leg - he's now in half guard. Hunter drops an elbow to the side of Baby's head. Hunter slows the pace down in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hunter stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Hunter blocks a head kick by Baby.
Baby takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter gets a takedown into half guard. Hunter controlling the action here. Baby taking some punishment here, with Hunter in his half guard. Baby blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hunter. Hunter is figuring out what he wants to do next. Hunter missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Big Baby has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter is looking for a kimura but Baby is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hunter to get the leverage. Hunter passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Baby! Hunter working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Hunter raining down shots from the mount! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hunter tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunter with the ground and pound from mount. Hunter sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Hunter scoring with strikes but Baby is staying in there.
Baby is rocked! Hunter gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunter shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hunter was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Baby is still in real trouble! Can Hunter finish him? Hunter stands up and beckons Baby to his feet. Hunter shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Baby is on queer street and Hunter is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Mark Hunter!
