Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sylvester Malone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alfie Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malone thumps Jackson with a low kick.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Malone sprawls well. Malone wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet.
A jab lands there for Malone.


It looks like Alfie Jackson has been cut.
Malone scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Nice uppercut lands for Malone. That snapped Jackson's head back.
Malone scores with a hook to the body. Jackson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Jackson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Malone displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Malone uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Jackson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Malone defends it nicely.
Jackson on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Sylvester Malone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jackson enables Malone to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jackson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jackson controls Malone momentarily but Malone frees himself.
Malone postures up in Jackson's guard and throws a big left but Jackson blocks it.

Jackson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Malone defends it easily.
Malone loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Malone slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Malone trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Malone lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.


Jackson is rocked!
Malone landing some decent shots from guard.
Jackson is still in real trouble! Can Malone finish him?

Malone drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Malone jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Malone passes Jackson's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Malone controlling the action here.

Malone is trying for a kimura here. Jackson looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Malone wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Sylvester Malone!
A very excited looking Sylvester Malone rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
