Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dillaan Dinnis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Supertuk Halaptung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halaptung has chosen Brant Bjork, "We Don't Serve Their Kind" as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dillaan Dinnis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Supertuk Halaptung!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halaptung scores with a jab to the head.
A head kick by Halaptung misses

and Dinnis counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Halaptung wants to get back to his feet but Dinnis passes into half guard.

Dinnis controlling the action here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dinnis seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Halaptung for as long as he can get away with.
Dinnis is keen to just control but Halaptung is a slippery customer.

Dinnis seems to be looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dinnis wants to advance to full mount but Halaptung doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Halaptung seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Halaptung told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Dinnis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Halaptung really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dinnis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dinnis throws a big elbow that misses.
Halaptung can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dinnis controls the pace.
Halaptung is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Dinnis shoots for a double leg takedown but Halaptung sprawls well. He's pushed Dinnis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Halaptung tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Dinnis counters with a shoot takedown. Halaptung fights it but they end up in guard.
Dinnis wants to control from the top but Halaptung keeps moving.
Dinnis stands up over Halaptung, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Dinnis slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dinnis tries to free his leg and advance position but Halaptung is retaining full guard.
Dinnis is working hard here to advance position.
Dinnis controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dinnis controls from within his opponent's guard.

Halaptung drives through and clinches with Dinnis against the cage.

Halaptung breaks from the clinch.
Halaptung wants to clinch up but Dinnis keeps it at a distance.
Supertuk Halaptung is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Halaptung with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Halaptung lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


It looks like Dillaan Dinnis has been cut.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Halaptung swings for the body but Dinnis moves out of range.
Dinnis darts in looking for a takedown but Halaptung gets double underhooks and turns Dinnis into the cage.
Dinnis swinging wildly here.
Halaptung throws a counter combo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dillaan Dinnis will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Halaptung clinches with his opponent.
Halaptung stalls.
Halaptung pushes off an throws an elbow but Dinnis leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Halaptung breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Halaptung lands a head kick!
Dinnis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dinnis takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Halaptung instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Halaptung escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Halaptung fakes the leg kick and cracks Dinnis in the body.
Halaptung fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dinnis.
Dillaan Dinnis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dinnis shoots in looking for a takedown. Halaptung tries to sprawl out of it but Dinnis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Halaptung manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Halaptung throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Supertuk Halaptung seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Halaptung goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Dinnis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Halaptung was covering up waiting for the punch and Dinnis finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Dinnis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Halaptung has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Halaptung looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Dinnis content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Dinnis wants to pass the guard but Halaptung is keeping the position.
Dinnis trying to control but Halaptung is working from the bottom.
Dinnis in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Halaptung utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Dinnis throws a strike but Halaptung rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Dinnis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Halaptung gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dinnis is looking for a triangle but Halaptung pushes his legs off easily.

Dinnis is trying to keep Halaptung in close.
Halaptung stays in close to Dinnis's body and controls the position.

Dinnis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Halaptung gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Halaptung is looking to stand up but Dinnis won't let him.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Dinnis working for a triangle but Halaptung defends it easily.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dinnis tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Halaptung slows the pace down in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dinnis trying to hold on to Halaptung's head to control him but Halaptung postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Supertuk Halaptung showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Halaptung landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Halaptung breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Halaptung punishes Dinnis's body with a nice straight punch.

Halaptung lands an elbow that stopped Dinnis in his tracks for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Halaptung connects with a knee to the head.

Halaptung breaks the clinch.
Halaptung throws a head kick that misses.
Halaptung misses with a kick to the body

and Dinnis counters with a takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Dinnis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Dinnis tries for a kimura but Halaptung is defending well.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Halaptung is looking to regain half guard here but Dinnis keeps moving and retains side control.

Dinnis is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Halaptung is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dinnis tries to move into full mount but can't pass Halaptung's legs.

Dinnis tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Dinnis is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Halaptung has escaped the position, nice work there.
Dinnis tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Halaptung struggling a bit here.
Dinnis lands a decent elbow from side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dinnis happy to just control the position for now.
Halaptung tries to improve position but can't.

Dinnis is trying to get an arm triangle but Halaptung is defending well.
Halaptung taking punishment in the form of punches.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Halaptung is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Halaptung is not content to let Dinnis control the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Supertuk Halaptung.
I think Halaptung has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
