Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arturo Atunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taiga Jim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
30 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Arturo Atunes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taiga Jim! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jim swings away with a body shot that misses
and Jim takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jim takes a swing at Atunes's ribcage but misses. Jim tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Atunes was well out of range. Poor timing from Jim. Jim has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Nice body punch from Atunes. Atunes swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jim. Atunes ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Atunes.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Atunes - that will leave a mark!
Atunes has Jim up against the cage in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jim misses with a hook to the ribs.
Atunes tries to work over Jim's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Atunes tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Atunes tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Jim misses with a short punch on the inside. Jim is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Atunes is defending well. Jim wants to take the fight to the mat but Atunes manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Atunes lands a nice uppercut. Atunes misses with a hook from the clinch. Atunes softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Jim is rocked! Atunes tries a body shot but Jim blocks it.

Atunes lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jim backwards. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Atunes digs a right hand underneath Jim's ribcage. Jim let out a lung full of air as it connected. Jim looks winded! Atunes fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Atunes throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Jims head. Atunes lands a body punch in the clinch. Atunes lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Atunes goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Jim is working for takedown but Atunes is calmly controlling the position for now. Arturo Atunes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taiga Jim. Jim doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Atunes presses Jim against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. A shot in the inside from Atunes. Atunes pushes Jim back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Atunes working some nice short punches in the clinch. Jim drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jim has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Atunes regains guard immediately. Atunes kicks Jim off and gets to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jim takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Atunes throws a shot to the body.
Atunes feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jim's calf. Atunes changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Atunes circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Jim to the canvas! Jim doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Atunes keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Arturo Atunes! Arturo Atunes took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'Came for the big KO, you know me I hate decisions.Hopefully I have done lasting damage. Now I want Todd.'.
