Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nelson Corrales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Johns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corrales comes to the cage accompanied by Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nelson Corrales! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Johns! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corrales feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Johnss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Corrales stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Corrales steps into range and cracks Johns with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Johns flops backwards and Corrales dives into his guard looking to finish!
Johns is rocked!
It looks like Jimmy Johns has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Corrales wants to stand and escape but instead Johns has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Johns is still in real trouble! Can Corrales finish him? Johns controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Johns stops Corrales from standing up. Corrales utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Johns looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Johns seems to have recovered his senses. Johns throws a big elbow that misses. Johns missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Corrales can't keep his opponent in guard - Johns advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Johns stops Corrales from getting back to his feet.
Johns is working for a submission of some sort.
Johns thows a huge punch but Corrales dodges it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corrales pushes Johns off looking to stand but Johns dives back in and keeps control.
Johns perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Johns throwing shots but Corrales is blocking nicely. Johns throwing shots but Corrales is blocking nicely. Corrales wants to stand back up but Johns manages to pass into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johns passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Corrales! Corrales really wants to buck Johns off and get back to his feet. Johns has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Johns tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Corrales is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Johns looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Corrales is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Corrales is bucking up trying to escape but Johns cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Corrales is trying to stand. The referee warns Corrales that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Corrales is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Johns content just to control the position here. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Johns unloading with bombs! Corrales squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Corrales knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johns on the ground. Johns is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Corrales is surviving well by controlling Johns's body position as best he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johns sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Corrales is trying to stand up. Johns stands up from mount. Strange move. Corrales lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Nice body punch from Corrales. Corrales lands with a shot to the body. Johns closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Corrales tries to sprawl but Johns drives through with a takedown into half guard. Corrales pushes Johns off and gets back to his feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johns ducks right into an uppercut from Corrales. Johns takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Corrales drops Johns with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Johns! Corrales dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nelson Corrales!
