The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gruzinsky misses with a shot to the body
and Gruzinsky takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Roman Gruzinsky has been cut.
Gruzinsky misses with an uppercut. Blazer saw that one coming.
Gruzinsky moves away from the strike by Blazer.
Gruzinsky fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Blazer, pushing him back against the cage.
Blazer tries to work over Gruzinsky's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Blazer lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Gruzinsky misses with a punch to the body.
Blazer throws a head punch that misses.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Blazer.
Gruzinsky breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gruzinsky throws a lazy uppercut
and Blazer counters with a crisp right hand that drops Gruzinsky! Blazer lets Gruzinsky back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Gruzinsky is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gruzinsky throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Blazer counters with a huge right that knocks Gruzinsky out cold! Blazer is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ricky Blazer!
A relieved looking Ricky Blazer thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
